Waihi Vets

Waihi Vets merged with Franklin Vets on the 1st of December 2021.  We now have 4 clinics on the Hauraki Plains, plus a satellite clinic in Coromandel, which are managed by our locally based vet shareholders and support each other with after-hours calls. Now open 29th December.

Companion Animal Services

Our clinic is fully equipped, and open Monday to Friday and for after hours emergencies. We offer medical and surgical facilities, in house diagnostic services including digital X-ray and blood analysis, and we have a range of vet-approved pet supplies.

Dr Asse Bosch – Senior Veterinarian

BVSc BSc
07 863 8684 | abosch@fvs.co.nz

Asse has been with Waihi Veterinary Services since 1997, when she and her husband Viv joined the previous owner to become a 3 vet team, supported by a receptionist and a vet nurse. She was initially a mixed animal veterinarian but soon started taking over most small animal cases. She still deals with farm animals after hours, which include calving cows, sick cows, trauma etc.

Asse’s job involves dealing with a multitude of problems and species. She says it’s like trying to solve a puzzle in 15 minutes as efficient and effective as possible. Some puzzles are easy and require very few pieces but some turn out to be large complicated ones. She is very grateful for owners that let her do her job as it certainly makes it easier on their pets.

Asse is an animal lover at home too and has 5 cats and chickens. She always has her camera close by and has her honours in photography.

Dr Stephanie Fulton

Stephanie graduated from Massey University in 2011 before starting at Waihi Veterinary Services in 2012. She loves getting to see a wide variety of animals working as a mixed animal vet from cows to alpacas to cats and dogs! She loves getting out and about and still getting her surgery fix.

Stephanie has 2 babies at home, her daughter Isla and a wire haired Jack Russel puppy named Beau who was too cute to resist. She also has 2 ginger boys, Atticus and Gulliver, who were both adopted as tiny feral kittens. They now both prefer her husband to her.

Stephanie enjoys exploring the local area and spending time at the beach with her family and puppy.
