Pet Newsletter April 2025

Vet Nurse Jess and Bun Bun

Hello everyone & Welcome to our April update

Spey your kittens

With cat rescues bursting at the seams, we have seen a lot of unwanted kittens this season. Did you know that your kitten could have its first litter as early as 4 months? Although still young and finding out the world themselves, kittens reach feline puberty at around 16 weeks. This means females are at risk of becoming pregnant from unneutered adolescent or adult males, including ones they are related to. Talk to our team about neutering your kitten when it reaches 4 months of age.

New clinic at 7A Paerata Rd, Pukekohe (along from New World)

We are excited to announce that our new clinic will officially open in early April. We will offer consultations, vaccinations, and a limited range of pet supplies. All emergencies, surgeries, and more complex cases requiring diagnostics will continue to be seen at our Pukekohe hospital, located near Pak’n Save on Harris Street.

Easter open hours

Our Pukekohe clinic will be open over the Easter break for emergencies. Please call the clinic for more information: 09 238 7486
