What does Cat Friendly Accreditation mean?

Being Cat Friendly Accredited means our clinic has taken deliberate steps to create a safer, calmer, and more respectful environment for feline patients.

We’ve met rigorous design and care standards to reduce stress for cats and owners.

This includes:
  • Gentle handling techniques designed specifically for cats
  • Feline-focused protocols that recognise their unique needs
  • Quiet waiting areas to reduce stress
  • Pheromone support to promote comfort and wellbeing
  • Separate cat-only waiting rooms, away from dogs, with elevated shelving and cage covers.
  • Dedicated, quiet inpatient ward featuring larger “deluxe” cat cages.
This accreditation reflects our commitment to:

Animal welfare — ensuring every cat feels safe and respected
Clinical excellence — delivering care that meets the highest standards
Compassionate care — recognising that cats aren’t just small dogs, but individuals who deserve care tailored to them.

By being Cat Friendly Accredited, we honour the distinct nature of cats and provide care that helps them thrive.
