Dr Asse Bosch BVSc BSc

Asse started at Waihi Veterinary Services in 1997 with her husband Viv, when they joined the previous owner to form a 3-vet team, supported by a receptionist and a vet nurse. Initially, the team was composed entirely of mixed-animal veterinarians, but soon Asse's workload shifted towards small animals. 

After all these years, she still loves the challenge of her job, her clients, and, of course, her patients. Animal medicine has come a long way, and these days, Waihi is a great clinic with a lot more staff. There is plenty of space, separate dog and cat kennels and an in-house laboratory with extensive diagnostic options. The team can often diagnose and start treatment for its patients on the same day. Waihi Vets is well equipped to handle most animal concerns, including surgery and medicine, radiography, dental work, emergencies, and pet supplies.

Every day is different, and Asse finds it pretty special to have been looking after several generations of pets for some clients.   

At home, Asse has 5 cats and a small flock of brown hens who are always trying to explore the boundaries of their extensive surroundings.
