Consistency of veterinarians is important to us. Our aim is to have one lead vet and a backup vet allocated to your farm to ensure we have a good understanding of your business and your farming goals. The service we provide and relationships that we form with our clients, is the key to our ongoing success.
Companion Animal Services
We can now offer you complete veterinary care for your much-loved pets, including an after hours service.
Our farm services are available 24/seven. Greg Lindsay, Director & Veterinarian leads a team of dairy, lifestyle and equine vets.
Dr Greg Lindsay
BVSc (Director & Veterinarian)
Greg graduated from Massey University in 2008. His enthusiasm, practical skills and knowledge have seen him become a prominent dairy veterinarian in the North Waikato region. Greg thoroughly enjoys engaging with dairy farming businesses at all levels but his particular interest is in assisting farmers with their decision making around herd reproduction and nutrition.
In his spare time Greg can be found with his family or bobbing around the coastline, fishing or spear-fishing from his kayak.
Dr Tim Batchelor
During Tim’s veterinary degree he developed an interest in all aspects of production-animal medicine. While primarily interested in dairy, he is still very keen to see all species ranging from alpacas and pigs, to companion animal care.
Tim has fully adopted the lifestyle of a Coromandel local with the goal of spending most of his free time fishing, kayaking and chilling at the beach.
Rural Sales Manager
Nina’s works closely with our clients alongside the veterinary team to add value and offer practical solutions for your farming needs.
Nina was raised on a dairy farm at Puriri, near Thames, where her dad milked 450 cows. Prior to Franklin Vets, Nina worked in the rural industry for RD1 Ltd, most recently as a Technical Sales Representative. Nina lives in Ngatea with her family.
Karen looks after our Kopu customers from Wednesday to Friday.
She has lived on the Hauraki Plains all her life and has share-milked with her husband for 20 years. Karen came from a banking career of 30 years, and she enjoys the different challenges she comes across since joining the team at Franklin Vets.

Dr Andrew McQuade
Andrew was brought up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and graduated from vet college in 2014 in Dublin. Most of his training was on sheep and beef farms on the West Coast of Ireland. He moved to New Zealand several years ago and worked in rural Southland in a primarily dairy clinic just outside of Invercargill. He has also worked with dogs, cats, sheep, beef, deer and anything else that came through the door!
Andrew enjoys the variety that being a mixed vet to both large and companion animals grants him.
